While I really like the turn goal and bonus, it encourages a fast and nimble play style.
It would be nice to have 2 different goals for preferred play style:
Goal Option 1: "Fast & Nimble" - current system that is turn based Goal Option 2: "Destructive & Controlling" - based on Xenos killed and TP controlled at one time (for example, 2 or 3 TPs controlled at one time during playthrough and 50 Xenos killed... it will have to be changed based on level)
"Fast & Nimble" would encourage mostly ranged attacks with highly mobile units and Engineers who can quickly convert a TP.
"Destructive & Controlling" would encourage more melee use and TP defending.
I think a Splinter Cell game had something similar where you get still get awards based on different play styles (eg. Stealth or Full-out Assault).

Short Answer: Sure, we'll have lots of Awards/Achievements for different play styles.
Longer Answer: But those cannot be core -- certainly, we must provide strong guidance for the general player to measure against. And that's the game -- moving fast, killing quick, never getting bogged down.

Perhaps on future levels (not existing ones so you don't modify RQ progress for the main campaign) you could add a bonus for "no dead templars" +5% XP & RP. If you did this, you'd want to change the language for difficulties and settings that aren't using permadeath to "incapacitated templars".
