There appears to be a bug where water fuel in consumed immediately after buying it. After purchasing a quantity in the exchange you exit, and the amount you bought has disappeared. This causes you to repurchase the fuel while suffering another loss of funds. This has also occurred when purchasing repairs for the ship.

@thedudeabides are you sure you have clicked the complete transaction button? otherwise your repairs or fuel will not be completed. is this a recent occurrence or has this been happening for a long time? Cory and Andrew are on holiday at the moment, so if this is a bug they will get back to you.

I did check the complete transaction, I made sure after the first time. I never had the problem before one of the last two patches but wouldn't know for sure as I haven't played in quite some time to be honest. Thank you for your response though.

Interesting. I tested on Android (5.8.21) and there was no problem with purchases. Purchased water and confirmed it was there.
Mayhap you are using the IOS version, which unfortunately I can't test on.

I am on a note 4,rooted but running stock lollipop ROM from vendor. The UI will refresh twice when it happens. By this I mean I'll buy the items, exit out of exchange and the ui will flash twice. That is how I know I've been "robbed".

Thanks. I tested on a Note 4 with 5.0.1, but unrooted. I haven't seen the double-flashing. That sounds very unusual. Is it just water fuel, or is it other purchases too?
Also, when you are in space after combat, when you loot another ship, does the stuff you loot stick, or does it disappear too?

It doesn't seem to happen when looting ships after combat. It's really weird. I'll probably do some more testing later to see if it's planet or faction specific. |

Okay - I'll test some more too ... hopefully it is an unusual anomally.
Also - could you please try using a different captain. Oh oh oh ... and one last test. if you've got ST Elite, could you try on the non-Elite version? The game engines are the same, so if it is device-specific, then it should consistently cause an issue in Free as well as Elite. My testing was only on Elite.

Alright, it's not doing it on the free version, only the elite. Also, the elite version I have is from the amazon app a day, so not sure if that is affecting it. The thing is it's updating and is currently on v5.8.21, which is weird since the board says 5.8.17 is the latest...now I'm thoroughly confused.

Any chance that if you go into your Android OS Settings > Developer Options > you've turned on "Dont' Keep Activities"?
This sounds like a classic symptom of checking that developer-only option.

Thanks for the clarification on the store. I am on .21 as well, and can't replicate the issue. When Cory Trese gets back he'll check this one out but I don't believe anything has been changed in inventory control in recent releases. One last check .. Have you tried starting a new captain? Maybe the current captain had a corrupted file, which would be rare but is the only thing I can think of. Thanks for your patience on this. We'll figure it out |
