Any chance that if you go into your Android OS Settings > Developer Options > you've turned on "Dont' Keep Activities"? This sounds like a classic symptom of checking that developer-only option. Thanks! Any luck checking this option?

Thanks! Any luck checking this option? Sorry,I seem to have unintentionally overlooked your previous post saying this. I just tried it, and that appears to have fixed the problem. Once again, thanks to everyone for the help with this.

I'm so glad that the problem was resolved! It shows - you can't beat the experience of the devs Now in return for getting such helpful advice, come join the forum That way we can chat more about other cool ST things ... shoot the breeze so to speak. Of course the breeze is a vacuum, and shooting is via torps.

slayernz maybe thats why he hasn't joined... Sadly an influx of TB games tends to send my productivity...downhill...somewhat Maybe fear of not getting any work done anymore has turned him away from us

Sadly Google continues to offer innocent users options like "Make Your Android Run Like Crap" and "Destroy Data, Drain Battery Life and Waste Network Bandwidth"
Instead of labeling them for what they are -- horrible phone breaking hacks designed to allow developers to break apps horribly during testing -- they call them cute things like "Don't Keep Activities" which to some users sounds good.
Google's victims think "I don't need those activities anyway!" but really in the background Android just burns your battery by using CPU non-stop to sync-cycle activities on and off pretty much all day.
I have found that on the HTC M8 One some sets of developer options reduce the battery and system performance of the device by more than 75%.

So its essentially a way of testing on ancient phones without the horror of having to own one

bookworm21 - not really, no. But ... it's a great way to break a lot of apps and games!

fallen aha! So...if one happens to make a working thing you can break it! A sort of 'let's see what happens so we can make it more stable'

Cory Trese, I find playing your games a way to impact my battery performance by about 80%. If I didn't play TB games, my battery lasts a day. If I play games (like I <cough> sometimes do) ... I'm charging 2-3 times a day

I've noticed the same thing slayernz, TB games being played, battery goes down. No games being played, phone can last 3 days

I was gonna make a quasi-serious post under 'Bug Reports' about all the TB games constantly crashing and draining battery, but you guys beat me to it! Have a torp, ntsheep and slayernz
