tapping active trade routes should open list allowing upgrade them to trade alliances if possible, but on first places we have politics making new trade routes - i think this should be removed, so we shouldnt scroll through them to tap trade alliances

The most common action in that page is to use the Trade Routes treaties to extend and strengthen your existing trade routes.
IMO, upgrading them is harder and less common. Am I wrong about this?

I'm not sure exactly what Koles was suggesting, but I'm glad to discover this function and don't see a need to change it. There's a lot of this sort of click on a thing and get info relevant to that thing functionality in the game, very good once you find it.

I think he's saying he'd rather have less related treaties in the list, because he prefers Alliance upgrades to route extensions. It could be a sorting issue as well. Thinking...

Do you use repeated "Trade Route" builds to reinforce and extend?

Do you use repeated "Trade Route" builds to reinforce and extend? Sometimes. It depends on the political situation. If I can, I will reinforce at least once, then try to upgrade if possible.

Thinking... thats true. trade aliance is much better due that 5% less maintaining cost and i always try to upgrade them also when you already have 2 politics (or 1 trade routes and 1 other positive or negative) - its easier to upgrade existing trade route than trying make third due to 'political situation' on longer games when you have 3 treaties that makes trade routes - i always need to scroll through them to get to treatie that makes trade aliance

You can run Trade Routes almost continuously to great effect. Upgrading to an Alliance isn't necessarily easier to land past existing Political Situation. Just pointing that out, cuz I'm a rules lawyer

Actually, I believe I have found an actual bug Cory. If I tap on an Alliance between two factions, the Politics available are limited to the Manufacturing Treaty, which is supposed to remove Trade Wars or Bans(?). Just for kicks, I ran one, and it was a successful Treaty.

Just pointing that out, cuz I'm a rules lawyer i bet you are what you write is really interesting - it would be nice if you write something more about it, especialy in manual - and if we are talking about that - manual dont mention about espionage bonus on alliances

Personally, I ALWAYS try to make Trade Alliances immediately after I get a Trade Route. Past the early game, I get much more benefit from the Alliance, and I feel like they hang around longer.
I would be hugely grateful to have links to the modifiers for the Routes, and any other kind of political events, just so we can have all the options available at any given time...

On this same topic it would be nice to be able to select which fctions you are trying to get into a trade route. When I have two alliances going and am trying to start a trade route as my third politic it is almost guaranteed to be blocked by other politics at least 3-4 times before I get a couple failed messages followed by a successful one. That means the chance of a trade route when two other politics are already active is really closer to 12-25% versus 75%. Just be nice to be able to pick which clans/factions you are taking to the trade summit. Maybe have a lower chance of success but at least you know who you focused your diplomacy on.
Also does performing a trade summit with 3 alliances already active extend those alliances if successful? Get a lot of blocked messages when I do this.
