dashit, I agree it would be nice to select the two factions that would be affected by a Diplomatic Effort (e.g., Trade Summit).
I would think a Trade Summit would create or extend Trade Routes only. Maybe the Diplomatic Efforts Trade Alliance or Trade Treaty would extend the Faction Politics Trade Alliance.
There are two things named Trade Alliance--a Diplomatic Effort and a Faction Politics--which is a bit confusing. It would be nice to rename one of them. Maybe the Diplomatic Effort could be named Trade Talks/Deliberations/Conference.
