You could always build one out of Lego. Costs about £200 for the cpu though. Can't remember the product name at present.

So which one do you guys think will win? I suspect the MegaBot Mark Two will beat the Kurata.

Not sure, depends on the weapons load out, speed of the Mechs and pilot response.

There will have to be some mods and changes anyway. Kurata uses pneumatic rockets and airsoft machine guns. The US entry specializes in paintball based weapons and air cannons.

If they set up the Kurata to use steel bb's, The size of the Megabot's cannon might be a disadvantage. The bb's could easily go into there and destroy the paint round before it's even fired.

Talking of bots. The two military ones, (real), in this vid, at the end of Dayan's Video post, are a little more than the average concerning.

very cool tech.
I wonder what the rules of engagement will be for the giant robot duel? Certainly don't want anyone getting hurt or too much damage to the large expensive bots.
Weaponized robots are coming... i guess. Drones seem more a concern.

I noted that the Megabot's controller was a Saitek X52 HOTAS. It seems that the MB would be more old-school than the big K, but K has better systems and HUD ... and movement. And big K has a Japanese chick piloting it. We all know how bad-ass they are

Does anyone know if Suidobashi Heavy Ind. even accepted the challenge?
