Gauntlets

Why are some gauntlets only allowed to specific classes? It seems a general weapon like a gauntlet should be shared across anyone that can equip gauntlets.

Engineers gauntlets go 2,3,5,9 gear levels. Any reason there is nothing at 7?

Scouts and soldiers gauntlets go 2,3,3,5,7 gear levels. How about giving them a high level gauntlet (9 gears)?

jknut - there are two types of gauntlets - Cutter and normal. Only Engineers can use Cutter gauntlets. All other classes that can use gauntlets use normal.
