The advantage to the heartbeats of summer is that I don't think it will ever be replaced. D46 holy damage on 1 item is insane, it makes all holy damage items more valuable on that character and in CoD it means big damage. Everything from Wyatt (exception, the bow in the chest, although some bows I have found are really close in power) gets replaced in early episode 4. Also, that necklace means you can ignore SP drain items, a huge boon as there are some crazy items in episode 4.

As can all of the gear found in the chests. The Heartbeats of Summer is a very unique item that I think you'd have a hard time replacing, even in E4. It is on the legendary list. I can understand, perhaps, Rashar, that you don't feel like any character in your group benefits much from it -- with the high SP drain and +Holy Dmg, I'd suggest giving it to a warrior like Vraes or Kincaid. |

Yeah Vraes has it now, the d42 holy dmg and 14% sp are great, I already saw some +35sp returns and a new record with a 432 crit from vraes while using a 2ap light blade.

I would love to find something in Ep 4 to replace that bow! Ep 4 has some interesting drops to be sure but my play through was very light on bow drops. Can't wait for Selen's legendary weapon choice. As she is my main damage dealer, her damage output definitely could use a boost.
I found the equipment in Ep 4 to be interesting...some really powerful equipment but balanced in that there were few clear upgrades and many powerful items that had to make me think long about shifting equipment around.

I believe, in time, you'll be very happy to have the Heartbeats. Not to say that the other option was not competitive. I have a hard time picking in my groups -- both are great. But I wouldn't write off the Heartbeats as a mistake. |
