I started a new game and noticed something that doesn't make sense to me.
After establishing my initial colonies I researched and built colony ships. These were outfitted with colony module 1 (1 population).
Just before the first colony ship rolled out of the shipyards on Thulun Prime there was a population of 3.
After I sent the ship to colonize a nearby system, there was still a population of 3.
It seems to me that you should initially lose popultion from your home system equivalent to the colony module on the colony ship you build.
In this case Thulun Prime should have had a population of 2 after launching a colony ship outfitted with colony module 1.

This does seem a bit odd or unrealistic., but in the grand scope of the game is a little thing. I get the sense it will stay this way.

But it is the little details in TB Games that sets them apart from the rest. Besides it could be a useful way to handle an overpopulation problem though. Hmmm...would a colony founded by unhappy colonists start with lower morale? I wonder what kind of challenge that would be. Or would they say "screw you" to the faction that shipped them out, and go independant?
