So I've been thinking lately about how to make this game even more fun to play, seeing as I'm always playing it... Still one of the slowest part of the game is backtracking to a Campsite/Inn (As you may have heard once or twice by now )
--I propose that perhaps a partial 'Campsite' be implemented, and you already have the graphic in game to do it.
Add more of the blue, two square graphics of the shrine (where Vraes/Kincaid tries to break away from the group in the Watershed), and have them completely restore the team's Spirit. Use them as many times as you want, and let the Healer heal the party instead of just the campsite/inn. They can be sparse- though far more frequent than the Campsites, yet still have the desired effect. Most parties can maintain their HP at a decent level, it is just the SP that constantly needs to be refilled.
Adding these would make the game SO MUCH FASTER, as one wouldn't constantly be backtracking through the entire level every few fights. Just drop by the shrine, meditate for a few, heal up, and get back on the road. You could even make them a tougher battle to 'Unlock' them, toss a few extra baddies, bump them up a level and make it a part of the game- skip the fight if you don't want the shrine, risk it to be able to have access to it.
For Ironman, maybe make them 2/3 the cost of a campsite, or even 3/4 the cost.
I also understand that the player is meant to use potions, but they aren't infinite (even though we get plenty) and some players-- myself included-- would much rather save them for important fights and mid-combat emergencies, not standard group maintenance (which again, isn't any fun)
Anyway, I hope I made my case well enough for you to take at least a look at this, and here's to hoping that it makes enough sense to be added in.
