Converting Colony List to Double Tap

This is something that I have been considering for a while and I'd love to get some feedback.

Today the Colony list in ST 4X takes a single tap to open details. I'm thinking about converting this list to a tap to select type with a couple of menu options in the bottom bar.

We could discuss some options, but my initial guess for the 3 buttons in the bottom would be

Show on Map
Build New

Any possibility of using single tap to open details screen and using tap-and-hold for more options?

If I understood your proposal correctly, previously getting to
1) details
2) new build order
3) zoom to map

Previously took respectively 1, 3 and ? taps, they would now each take 2 taps. Have I got that right?

krakun - yes. Any tap on the table row would activate a list of sub options (which would be expanded with others if there are suggestions). So, to reach any sub-option (Zoom to Map (new) or View Detail) would take 2 clicks.

For desktop, we'll definitely be looking at right click to go straight to details.

I would like this. It would help with larger Empires.
