Is there supposed to be a faction specific unlockable technology that's a super cool Torp attack?
I thought it was a Cadar tech, but now I can't find it. Anyone, anyone, Bueller, Bueller...

Try the critical torp attack, right in the middle of the tech tree.

Try the critical torp attack, right in the middle of the tech tree. "Cadar fleet operations"   For my money, the combination of %15 Critical and low fuel use make Critical Strike the best torpedo attack training in the game. And once you've unlocked Critical Strike all three of your factions can use it, not just Cadar. 
Edit: BTW, the other faction specific tech that's a must-have when playing Cadar, is CADAR 2 which give's you access Cadar's unique Military Alliance treaty. This treaty gives you a means to convert a Trade Alliance to an Alliance that you can easily research in the early game, at least a decade earlier than the universally available Military Summit treaty. Once your economy is pumping-out 300+ RP per turn, you can sustain a Triple Alliance indefinitely on Hard just by keeping your Colony-count balanced and running a Military Alliance treaty every turn.    |

Doh! I didn't look there only in the faction specific tech tree.
Can Cadar Fleet Operations only be unlocked why you play with Cadar as a faction?
