I have always wondered about it. An explorer can lose infinite amounts of hands or ears and still be able to survive. No matter how old he is, he is never too old to go to the retire. His father passed away at the refuge camp, but he doesn't seem to be aging at all, evrn if he survives 400 years. Seems like he paid a huge price for it... He has to buy professional heakthcare which is free in most countries.

Well, my captain lost about 20 hands already, but if these hands were mecha, how could it be called a wound?  |

Its not mechanical, its flesh, since humans do have an ability to grow back lost fingers, medical tech from the future thats been salvaged=Allow the WHOLE hand to be regrown quickly and effectively. Also thats why he never ages, space travel also slows down the biological clock so you could live years in space and rarely have to replace an internal organ.

I just figure that after you lose your original parts,you basically turn into a forgetful cyborg. Always wondering where he left his right ear or where his left foot wandered off to....

Somebody will slash your arm off and it will grow back... Somebody will slash your head off, it will grow back... You are cheating on your Cadar wife with a hot Thulun chick, so when she finds out, she will torp out your balls... And they will just grow back... Scary... |

Still, technology that increases your ability to grow your arms and stuff back quickly is still possible. This technology is a bit scary though, imagine that.... Somebody will slash your arm off and it will grow back... Somebody will slash your head off, it will grow back... Yep.......hope the Steel Song doesn't have it yet, they probably use card board replicas to do it. |
