After one of the recent updates (I don't know which one, been playing 4X a lot lately), I started up ST to check out how the game has changed.
Now, the game loads and starts at maximum zoom, and no screen-gestures will decrease zoom, nor is there any slider (as in TA) to do so.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Star Traders RPG does not support zooming on Android.

I seem to remember it used to? Like I said, it's been a while.
Unfortunately, the game is now unplayable. With the graphics the same as how I used to play, there is an incredible lag for movement & encounters. Even when turned down to minimal levels, there is a considerable amount.
Edit: I also keep getting an XP training notification, even though there actually isn't enough to train with.

Edit: I also keep getting an XP training notification, even though there actually isn't enough to train with. Something might still be running in the background. Or you don't have the memory to run ST at higher speed now (meaning too much stress on your phone for it do handle fast toasts and better star map resolution). The XP toast is a setting under settings, you set it for when you want it to tell you about your XP. !! I'm not tech support, just another Android player. |

Not something that game engine was ever capable of. There is zoom map system that provides a different, enriched view which is actually preferable to just zooming out, because it shows more data. 2) I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your device, that's very unfortunate. If you'd like help troubleshooting your particular performance issue, I can try to help. Usually the first thing Google suggests is rebooting the device. 3) There is an option to adjust the rate at which XP toasts are sent. |
