I finally downloaded the latest version of Star Traders Elite from the Amazon store on my Droid RAZR M, but I seem to have an issue with the notifications. For whatever reaso , they're stacked on top of each other. Try selecting a planet to read its description for reference-- it looks like two boxes overlapped each other. This is a bigger issue when I want to buy a ship from a military faction and can't see the ship list unless I press the back button-- instead of New Ship -> Ship List -> Select Ship (to view my first ship choice) -> Ship List -> New Ship (view next ship choice), I have to New Ship -> Ship List -> Select Ship (view first ship choice) -> Back Button -> New Ship -> Select Ship (view next ship choice).
I know that sounds confusing, but basically I can't use the Ship List in the New Ship menu-- the two boxes I noticed appearing as notification boxes earlier show the list as being blank (its a Cadari port, there should be 5 or 6 rank ships for me here). Ergo I have to use the Back Button to pick from the very first ship selection list if I can want to see different ships.
Does anyone else have this issue?
On Android version 4.4.2

I saw some screenshots from fallen and it looked like normal 4.4.2 bordering. I tested on the Droid RAZR and about a half dozen other devices everything working great. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any issues or reports of problems from other players.

Hmm. Okay, I'll find a way to cope with it. (scoots off)

Have you tried rebooting the device? Maybe Android has bugged out and is actually running two copies of the app?

Have you tried rebooting the device? Maybe Android has bugged out and is actually running two copies of the app? I still have the double notification thing, but I can see ship lists now. I can reboot in a second. I swore I found another bug, only to realize I wasn't swipe-scrolling correctly. -_- ... I'm wasting your time now. Sorry. >.<() Am buying the character designer to support ya'll though. ... And because Crazy is capable of beating me senseless, apparently. Then again, I don't HAVE to use the new stat points... Screw it, I'm buying.

Screw it, I'm buying. Sorry for double post, but I checked the purchase button for the Custom Stats again-- there's a bit of lag before it lets me scroll and the description box at the bottom with a small "Help" button actually appears. Might be because of all the screenshots I'm taking right now for typo reports though.

Yep, those are the doubled-looking boxes. I haven't played ST in a while, so I only recalled the one box with no border-- but so long as I'm not going mad, I can deal with it.

That's just the ever changing UI look and feel of Android. We're trying to keep up -- Google keeps pushing us to update our API level. They say "we might feature you if you do X" and we do X and they don't write us back after that. Until later, when they ask us to do Y. It's kinda cruel, honestly.

Google. :/
Well, mystery solved. Sorry that the big company drag you around on false promises. Stupid crap from publishers shouldn't be in your face like that.
We need a new mobile platform. But lemme stop here before Google or Amazon screw me over somehow, lol.

So where we are at is ... this is either a bug (in which case, I can see it too) or what Google intends it to look like on 5.0 API running in compatibility mode on 4.4.2
I'm not sure which is true so here we go ... investigation time =)
I'll get to the bottom of this sock bucket one way or the other.

Haha, research continues.
I might need to provide some overriding backgrounds for a few specific Android versions to make that second background box go away.
