Not a real bug, but I'm sure this name is under copyright (or something along these lines), as it is directly taken from the Dragon Ball universe. I would consider changing this system's name, just looking out for you guys...

Never heard of Namek before, but never watched more than 30 seconds of DBZ. Sounds easy to change, if what we are describing is related enough to infringe.

Namek is a major world in the DBZ universe, and very recognizable if you watch the shows. I'm sure it was one of the names given when you asked for a bunch more once the Garden came out, but it's really out of place in 4X.

There are no active trademarks or copyrights on the word "Namek"
... that I could find

I'm not a lawyer, but unless you get a letter telling you to stop, I wouldn't worry about. The original story is so old that it's become part of popular culture in both Japan and the US. I believe the technical term is Public Domain. Anyone can use it then. I would hate for the TB's to get into trouble though, so when the new update comes out with the name changed, I'll just change it back  |
