I think the fog of war should be disabled in secure zones. It's not obvious where you are supposed to go. Particularly on the Rychart one. Consider adding an objective of who to talk to to get the next deployment as well.
The way it currently is I could see new players getting frustrated and leaving bad reviews over the way it is now

CdrPlatypus - thanks for the feedback! One thing that I have been working on is to trim back Luthor's dialog, down to only deploy-related discussions.

If they leave a bad review over that, we didn't stand a chance with them anyway.
I removed the fog in Safe zones to try it out.

I'm going through the tutorial again before release, and I'm with CdrPlatypus here. Being able to see the area makes a huge change, allows you to move more tactically if there is a threat, and makes the game way less claustrophobic.

Yes, definitely agreed that Secure Zones without fog is an improvement.
Spending all day trying to perfect the tutorial.

Could also be a neat way to add another mechanic to the game? Maybe an ordnance you can purchase, where you can use it to clear all the fog in a certain area, or as a cool story integration, where Command sees you're having issues, and does an orbital/sensor scan of the map for you, revealing everything, then it would fade away like normal.
Edit: just remembered there are ordnances like this already... Derps.

I would like a nuke it from orbit ordinance.

That makes me sooooo happy. Could even be a cool ass cut-scene. Ordnance is called in, camera cuts to the ship in orbit, which fires a few Railgun rounds into the surface, the camera snaps back to the Templars on the ground, and you get to watch the fireworks. The opportunities are insane for cinematic integration here...

If we win, donate the money (or at least some of it) to Andrew and Cory and Martin! Or just donate some anyway!
