Would you be interested in making maps?
Would you be interested in voting on maps?
Would you be interested in playing contest winner maps?

One, three, and four
I've been bouncing a few ideas around in my head for a long time now... I don't know exactly how I would go about making them, though... Does gdocs do a spreadsheet that could be used for this?

Does gdocs do a spreadsheet that could be used for this? Anyone who wanted to participate would need to download an open source map editor, read a map building guide and create maps with that editor. Certainly -- if someone wanted to design and promote concepts using gdocs or something else that would also be fine -- but wouldn't be able to generate anything playable until someone translated it into a tilemap.

If you have a recommended editor for this, a link would be greatly appreciated.

Cory Trese, do you (or anyone else) have any map makers you would recommend?

Cory Trese, do you (or anyone else) have any map makers you would recommend? We'll work on this a bit more. Not a current focus for us, but we might get there with everyone pulling!

Sounds fun although I am a bit late the the thread. Depending on what is the map designer environment, I don't mind creating ridiculous oddball maps.

Would we be putting in pathing for AI as well and choosing which enemies or just placement systems, asteroids, anomalies?
