I just releazed that the "icon" column was included in the last update. I usually don't include this column, but I've been noting which Ship icon is displayed for each kind of ship to "someday" include the actual image next to each ship.
The code may not be entirely obvious. For the older classes, it is based on the name (these make the most since). But new icons appear before the Hull Type is revealed, so I just make up a name based on the appearance. If anybody cares, here's the legend:
B = Barge M = Merchant H = Hauler D = Destroyer S = Scout/Fighter C = Carrier BS = BattleShip F = Cruiser (C was taken so, F=Fan-shaped tail) V = CorVette BC = BattleCruiser BS = BroadSword K = Dagger (icon looks like a Knife) P = Longbow (most of these ships have Pirate in the name) Y = the new yellow Y-shaped one U = the new green U-shaped one

Thanks to Cory, the Hull types now have real names!
(Real name = made-up name) Hawkwing = the yellow Y-shaped one Tick Class = the green U-shaped one Smugglers Carrier = the one with the Red wings Constrictor = the scary looking Carrier
They will be included in the next version of the Player's Guide.

Update: A bunch (~50) more ships added. Does not include the new ships in 3.5.7. Could you tell me what the colors mean in the Ships pdf I can't find it anywhere. Thanks

The colors indicate particularly high/low traits of the particular attribute. IE: For Hull>24 = Yellow Armor Dunno For Engines/Sails:>29 = Green 20-29 = Orange Crew>74 = Yellow Cargo>99 = Yellow For speed/agilityFast = Green Medium = Orange Slow = Yellow NOTE, the color codes are arbitrarily determined and are not based on what Liz deemed noteworthy. In other words, there may be very little benefit with a ship that has 29 engines compared to a ship with 30 engines, but they help when you are glancing at the table for ships to steal

Weird. The PDF is saved with very high compatibility (PDF ver 1.4 = Acrobat 5+). Can you download the file at all or is the download failing as well?

Criteria for Highlight Hull 25+ Armor 2 × Armor ≥ Hull (yellow, upgrades not needed to fully armor ship) 2 x (Armor + 8) > Hull (purple, ship is impossible to fully armor even with upgrades) Engines 20+ (orange) or 30+ (green) Solar Sails 20+ (orange) or 30+ (green) Crew 75+ Cargo Hold 100+ Guns & Torps (none yet)
Yes, I made up these criteria. Since I originally created these tables for my personal use, they are based on the stuff that I care about. For example, since I usually play as an Explorer, I don't really care about Guns & Torps. Thus, they aren't highlighted. But I certainly care about Ships with a large hold!
I'd love to hear what other players think about these. Particularly if you think they are bogus. And suggestions for the Gun & Torpedo columns.

Here is a new ship list that I put together today. I used my own info from a spreadsheet I started, and suplemented it with extra info from the other PDF posted on here. I organized the ships into loose categories, and let me explain the color highlights. RED: I borrowed this info from the other PDF on here, and was not able to confirm the info in game today. LIGHT GREEN: These ships are faction rank ships, buyable at faction stardocks. ORANGE: These are the new Templar ships that I have found so far since the last update. I did my best to make everything printable and easy to read. I hope it helps! Attachments:
