A thief event in a tavern happened and I lost 4 gold. I don't know how much gold I had before, but I guess it was 3 because the game was showing I had -1 gold after that.
I was playing on the free version with a Kindle Fire 3rd gen.

I imagine it will go to -1, but no lower. |

I can confirm - just have -1 Gold at the moment after a tavern encounter. I choose to go for my Crew, got awarded with +1XP and lost 3 Gold.
Have -1 Gold right now.

craft4 - thanks for the report! This bug is definitely still at large. We try to always post back to our forum threads when a bug is closed. I have taken #AOP-3299 to fix this!
