Does anybody else hunger for something to fill the void left my epic games such as Elite and Privateer? Well I do and I think Star Traders has the basics to evolve from something good into something great. I am liking the basic concept and upgraded to Elite version almost straight away, now i've paid my money I feel I can comment - the ship upgrades need an overhaul, I would like to see full screen shot of my ship with installed and available upgrades shown. To be really impressive, damage from recent battles could be displayed until repaired. - battles need more detail, I'm not quite sure what I'm after, something inbetween full interactive battles (eg. Elite, Privateer, etc) and the current button pressing. - the 'bigger' would be real-time multiplayer but I'm not sure what technologies would be required to achieve this. - lets face it, today smartphone are leagues ahead of the old zx spectrum and early pc based games and look at the little gems that some devs managed to create Excellent 'work in progress' game, I'm hoping for great things to emerge in the future. Thanks for the feedback.
One thing I like to remind myself is that Star Traders RPG was created part time by two people who both have 2 other jobs.
Also, Star Traders RPG costs $2. Elite was like $24 if I recall what I paid for the boxed game at Best Buy.

I asked Andrew to take a look at how much it will take to create a new upgrades interface for full screen graphical display of upgrades and upgrade icons. I'd love to hear from other players how often they go into the Upgrades page and how important that is to them.
Battles need more details to be made available to the player. A great deal is going on regarding fire direction, range changes, skill checks and upgrades that is only known to the player who spends a lot of time (see elizabeth's explorer guide for an example!)
I am hard at work to add officers, new upgrades and more combat options to make the game more fun. Look to future updates to see your suggestions in action =)
In my opinion, real time multi-player is way out of the scope of ST RPG or an Android game coded by a single person.

Hi Cory, many thanks for the feedback (I've managed to register for an account now).
I appreciate that resources are limited and cost margins are minimal for devs in the mobile gaming market. I imagine that many devs are in the same position with the exception of the established dev houses like PopCap.
If resources are an issue what about the possibility of engaging with the community and using them as a dev resource (obviously for the love of the game and not for a financial return).
I look forward to any future upgrades, especially the 'story mode' I have heard mentioned around the forum.
