Hello! I thought it would be fun to start a thread of just general things we like about Heroes of Steel. This just a quick and dirty beginning with things that are on the top of my mind now, but I will add more later as I think of them. It can be random or big or small or story related or game mechanics related. I think its good to let the creators know what we love about their game and a way to give a special thanks! Here are a few to kick it off: -I like that there are a lot of +earth damage armor accessories that fit Vraes builds. He always seemed like the earth damage guy, and there's no earth magic skills, so its nice to see it somewhere -I like the new elemental sundering as a melee skill! Makes my current team rock, and finally Vincent can live up to his boast in Red Keep that he can be an off-tank (cause of the +parry and +dodge buff:) -I think the whole standard and strong dice for attacks is unique and I have no idea where the idea came from Cheers!

• The environment! It has huge maps to explore with plenty of secrets and hidden pathways / campsites. • The Party! The characters are exactly that - characters. Not just generic archetypes, they have their own personalities, dialogue, morals and goals. • The builds! Thanks to the talent list and the choice of characters, you can create parties and play styles which differ wildly from one another. Hardcore players like En1gma and CdrPlatypus can experiment to find 'perfect' builds, combining talents and attributes into monstrous, synchronised death machines. Other players, like me, can experiment with different weapons and builds just for fun and to mix it up. • The combat! On harder difficulties, fights are ooooooh so tactical, combining PC placement with an omnipresent manual PC turn order allowing you to advance / retreat, stab / fireball out of any situation in any character order you wish. If you're more of a casual dungeon crawler, easy mode allows you to tank up and take pleasure in swatting the enemies of the underdeep with wild abandon. • The story! The developers have gone to such great lengths, not just with the games plot, but with back story as well. Like with Star Traders, there's a lore here that's been fleshed out in the background to make the game much more than the sum of its parts, for those who wish to dig deeper. Comics and written fiction expand this even further. • The scope! The maps are numerous and huge, with fantastic ambient sounds in caves and villages creating real atmosphere. With plenty of treasures to uncover and enemy parties to fight, you're never short on things to do. The game is simply huge, and wouldn't be out of place on the Xbox One alongside titles such as Wasteland 2 - Directors Cut. • The Price! Full episodes with hour upon hour of exploration, story and combat are less than 70p each. That's around 7 times cheaper than each episode of a Telltale game, which last around four hours each. It is, without a doubt, the most ambitious game by Trese Brothers to date. Technically outdone by Templar Battleforce; whether it will be eclipsed on other levels by Star Traders 2 remains to be seen. Here though, the sheer depth of combat, exploration, story and character builds make it a perpetual pleasure to play.

No problem! Glad I could do something to make life better! I agree with everyone who pointed out that there is a ton of content! I just had a battle in a hidden area in act 3, where wraiths stormed me on one side, and skeletons on the other. I sent my magic people (Fyona and Vinc) to deal with the wraiths, and the physical damage people (Vraes and Selen) to deal with the skeletons, so that everyone fought what they were good at fighting! That made me feel pretty clever Also, I like how its nearly impossible to really predict how the terrain is set up until you've seen it. There can be hidden paths anywhere! And some battles start in these 4 or 5 way intersections and I'm freaking out because where will they come from!? But then it turns out that two of those paths are just a silly round-about with nothing in them, but I don't realize that til half the battle is over Cheers Edit: Also, I have worked in HR for nearly 7 years now, and I can appreciate on many levels the high quality interaction Cory and Fallen have with everyone. (That sounds like such a "business" way to say it. Really you guys are just good with people) It impresses me, anyways. Not too many people have a knack for really focusing on the positive and encouraging feedback and making people feel welcome! But I'm sure it pays off in a lot of subtle ways!
