The Neptunes are the easiest class to handle heat with already. Goliath plate plus full vent fallen glad you are going to look at it. I know I'm kicking a hornets nest, but it's for a good cause

That's is one way CdrPlatypus. However when you start spending points on other talents, it takes away from the ones to put in SF. SF doesn't really become a power attack until it's maxed out. At low levels it's out classed by Hydra and Scout talents like NC and CF. At least that the way I see it.

Heh, given that we get stuck with a Hydra anyway my latest Ironman incarnation doesn't have a Neptune or Berserker, just an extra Soldier and I punched up to the Mk 8 quickly. Still heat issues, but not so bad as before and although Suppressing was nice, I didn't have it to high level. On the plus side, I don't feel so starved for RP and less issues with SP and turn management, but I still miss the Neptune...
Balancing with heat might be a better solution. Possibly also balancing with SP as long as we don't get cost insanity like choosing between a tiny heal that might, maybe save a Templar or pulling out a Soldier or skilled Scout. Heh, I used turrets as throwaway attrition units and replaced them twice for the same cost as the minumum heal.
