Bought Elite last night. Looking forward to playing! When trying to import my captain I get the message: Star Traders RPG (Free) detection failed. Count not find Captains to copy. Can I manually copy, and if so, which files? Thanks.

andersh - did you download both versions from the Android market? Are you using a rooted phone?

Sure, it's an HTC HD2 using the HyperDroid-GBX-v12 ROM in NAND, Android v2.3.3, MAGLDR v1.13 and using App2SD. Sadly it seems Pongster doesn't have time to develop this ROM anymore, but loads of details here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=918899

You cannot manually copy the files, no, there is encryption and data constraints that make it impossible, even on a root'd phone.
The "Copy from Free" button makes an inquiry to the OS if the other game is installed.
The error message you are getting is "The Android OS Said ST RPG is NOT installed."
The most common causes: - One version from Android, one from Amazon - ROM Permission mods - Sandbox Installs in Android - Changed Digital Signatures (pirates, other developers, ripped copies) - Using Mini or International Editions

Okay, sounds like something with the ROM then. I haven't made any specific changes to permissions or sandboxing myself. I missed the game too much so I started a new game on a harder level ... and just died, lol!
