Is that intentional? I'm smarting because I just lost my level 19 scout on Ironman. A Siege Goliath just popped out from an area where I just destroyed a spawn pit. It sort of changes things if we can't be sure that removing a spawn pit stops spawning like I thought earlier.

Wow, this levels is going bad quick. Another Goliath just popped out of the same place and I lost my Engineer. Still got two more TP to capture too.

That is an active Spawn area, not sure what the purpose of Spawn Pits is, since Xeno will Spawn in marked areas like that regardless.

Sorry that it goes straight to feeling like it's intentional. It's not. It's a bug It is now fixed for the next release.

Whenever there is a Spawn Pit, it controls the spawning point next to it. If the Spawn Pit dies, the spawning point shuts down. If it doesn't do this, it is a bug. It is not intentional.

Now you tell me, lol, all this time I just figured the Spawn pits were just another type of Xeno Sumner and didn't effect nearby spawn points at all.

RAAAAAR! 42 turns later, the level is done and nobody else died. I blew any previous level kill counts out of the water too with 151 kills. I even managed to keep three Moklumnue soldiers alive. Actually they bagged a number of kills too, skitterings and a Litch or two. I might not have made it without them, because we just barely eked it out. I even put my Neptune up to 258% heat, but he didn't shut down. Maybe it comes into play at the beginning of the next turn, because he was just back under then.

I love this level for how the Moklumnue soldier can help carry the day The 256% rule only hits if you end your turn up that high and don't come under the line during Heat reclamation.

Keep in mind that it is 256% ... not 256 heat. So my Hydra who has +70 Max Heat from Gear shuts down at 435 Heat.

I just lost a scout from overheating, he had I think 7 hp after being hit by a spider a couple times, I had his +mp buff on him, moved him away enough to leave him with 6 mp, I figured that he'd cool off enough to survive into the next turn but he died. I'm guessing that if I mathed before I moved I could have survived. My question is, hypothetically I have 1 hp, I'm currently overheated, I leave enough mp to go under next turn. Do I die?

I was checking religiously because I was so close to the line. But after the heat recoup phase he was back under. bowuserthing, I think you would die. Because damage is calculated before heat recoup. So unless you had good willpower or got a lucky roll, you would die.

We were talking about this in another thread. Heat dissipation is given back for your original 6 MP only. +MP buffs (and the extra MP they give you) do NOT count toward Heat dissipation. Otherwise, this would be a major exploit for +MP buffs.
