I definitely luv seeing that team members have finally made it into the game. I do have some questions and some suggestions.
1) I hired 2 to Blue Ox gangers and I know it said a few hours but since I didn't know exactly how it works I gave each one a gun( especially since the were weak and started with nothing) I also bought 1 cyberware. I realize I should've not done so much since I was testing there boundaries and sure enough when they were gone so was my stuff and when I rehired the cyberware was gone as well. So the question is what is there extent(will they be able to be upgraded)? Are there gonna be actual runners in the future? And will the option hire for good or til u dismiss be available eventually?
2) This is more of a suggestion. I made comment once how Shadowrun(sega version)was one if not my favorite game and what made it so great to me was that on the sega version only when u hired someone was that u could upgrade them just as much as yourself in everyway. I like star wars not a big fan but knights of the old republic was one of my favorite games as well for this very reason. I wish creators would concentrate on this aspect more often. I know that making a game takes much time and effort. So thank you time and attention cyberknights is an amazing game keep up the good work!

I like, Rubs shoulders with, or stands next to.
there is no secret that SR was an influence. I have never said that Cyberpunk 2020 was better than ShadowRun, or vice versa... they may share many many different themes, context, content, and even tone. but it doesn't make one Pwn the other.

nick - here is some more information about recruiting a team. www.tresebrothers.com/blog/2011/10/15/recruiting-a-team/1. Soldiers always walk off with gear and implants. Real runners will keep your enhancements for the next time you hire them. 2. Soldiers leave when you stay at a hotel or safe house. Therefore, if you want to upgrade your thugs and get your money's worth, you need to stock up on crammers and sitmmers so you can stay awake for days on end. @los - we are inspired by SR and CP. The very word (inspired) indicates their everlasting greatness of those games, to which we dedicated so many hours of pen and paper gaming.

fallen. I agree 100%. *** The inspirations haven't been lost on me. I've been happily in those tranches, and return every now and then. Looking back, I apologize if my remark was tinged incendiary. I am passionate...what can I say?! :-) Semantics, really. There is a minor schism between Influence and Inspired. I chose the wrong term.

fallen- You do know that CP is one of the keywords for ChildP*rn in the fuzz's Internet trackers, don't you? ;D Anyway, other than these part-time helpers, I think most of us are actually more interested in Hirelings... y'know, famous Mercs & Guns-for-hire with a NAME. At least, we'd remember who hightailed off with our cyberwares and Raptor IIs when we take a short nap.

How about a stimpak implant. implant that was more an ivw drip than amything. Basically it would be a nuclear cell changing device that would taken blood from the implantees body and molecularly change the chemical make up of the blood thro variously chemical process and the end result would be the stimpak compound which was slowly fed into the bloodstream via a timing mechanism. Any tampering with the dosage or timing mechanism would activate a self-destruct device and result in lose of limb. Maybe even a crammer implant?

CK is new & in my hand. thus, giving it the biggest bonus on my chart (at the time i posted/fickle?) shadowrun is the stuff of memories... but like a 20 side / always fun to pick up again. take nothing away from shadowrun, or any of the other games i grew up with. i'll bet most of us see eye to eye on most of these topics. bad @ss games, both of em! cheers chummer in closing,i was kinda hoping it to be an inspirational push you know... exceed your own goals, progress past... well the past! it can be done! |
