Report; drop ship insersation according to quick plan of action on xeno planet fall detection, apon quickly reading the ground decided to close into a tight knit formation on high ground at a semi nataural cross road. Orders were simple cover approaches, hold ground and purge the on rush of xenos until a change of circumstance afforded more tactical options. Scout when possible to gain information on surrounding terrain and assist where needed. Information gathered aloweded for better heat sink manegment, forward thinking and better response time. Apon slaughtering numerous xeno, they became desperate and their brood mother along with escort approached rapidly, on noticing aproach and being in a good battle formation we wasted no time in engaging and quickly removed the threat. Standard quick cleansing of area was then performed b4 moving on to next assignment.....Report ends.
After reading the report the record keeper forwarded a copy to the ground ops military wing for their own use. And a copy to the keeper of stories for possible re-edification for circulation in the spice halls.

Location; Rubric / Temple tunnel complex. Mission; Investigation & progression. Commander; Captain Fabienn. Squad; 2 soldiers and a engineer.
Report; Apon entering further into the temple we quickly set up a TP in a awkward location with several passage ways nearby as intelligence came in. In short breifhing was to take a central TP and await further orders (frontal assault not adviced) multiple TP locations on this level exact location unknown. With this in mind we chose the nearest passage way in the west and made all haste while still covering forward and rear fire arcs in case of hostiles. At this point we came across a lightly held xeno TP which we quickly dealt with, also opening the frontal doors to the main objective. Reinforcements then arrived in the form of a hydra and a scout at 1st TP which checked the immediate 2nd branched easterly passage to reveal again light xeno forces. As one off the soldiers fell back forwards new threat, lineage thinking quickly revealed 2 likely paths; One was to set up second TP secure and take other locations b4 attacking central TP while reacting to new situations, the other was the more aggressive approach; ignore initial Intel and go for the frontal assault. I went for the aggressive option which haste was called for, so leaving the current TP as neutral the western flank fell back to the centre and set up a turrent at that intersection, meanwhile 1 soldier had arrived near door to main objective and set up watch while the scout and hydra in the east (who was now facing stronger resistance) slowly fell back towards intersection leaving behind napalm and crippled and dead xenos. Then a large force of assorted xenos turned up at the central TP in which we engaged (at a run to get there, even setting up a 2nd turrent during battle to assist) apart from the hydra and scout who were still slowly falling back against heavy xeno activity. We then secured the centre TP as the scout and hydra quickly fell back, new Intel quickly came through as to are next destination so we preceded with haste removing any threats along the way and covering side passages in napalm while the 2 TPs in our possession gained strength fending off the xeno hordes. Report ends.
The Record Keeper stopped reading the mid operations report and wondered how to designate it. In the end decided to just just code it without taking any other actions on it and place it in the archives. .....A spice beverage b4 next report.....
