I am going to assume that each "square" is about 1-2 meters. So the best distance to stand would be roughly ten meters away to not get hurt too badly.

Er... 3 grid X 2 metres = 10 metres? Have u been taking a couple more hedlozz than you should or would u like to buy a Mathwhiz implant? ;D Joking there. I am having a hard time equating actual distances too, without compromising melee distance. Or do all CKs come equipped with the retractable Piccolo cybernetic arm implants that I kept asking for?

Eheheh,that implant could be useful...^^ to range question, 1 grid 1 meter?? Simple xD i know,snipers could negate this,'cause a medium sniper rifle shoots more far than 8 meters(i'm taking as example the Panther cannon) but i don't think that a 3m=1 grid however is the right answer for our {a bit ill} range questions...**

Heavily-Cybered CK Veteran's advice:
Seeing that I could hit a guy in the face with my fist 1 square away, the range of a shotgun is about 3 arm's length.

There you have it, kids! The next time you find yourself at shotgun-point, get you arse about 3-4 metres away. That's your sweet spot.

Then counter-attack with a frisbee attack using the nearest garbage can lid. Fool-proof way to end the fight*.
