For the longest time I can remember my Talent table for Darting Steel had a range of 3. HoS v4.1.35 on my Kindle description reads range 0. Steam v4.1.35 reads range 1. What is the correct value to post in the Talent Table? Screenshot is from Kindle v4.1.35  |

In that screenshot, is he carrying throwing blades? Paula put down that shoe and stop hitting me! I didn't mean to ask another stupid question and waste their time again. Went back to an old Steam saved game swapped in a dart and it now displays Range 3. Thanks!  p.s. Is it true he cannot hit an adjacent enemy with a thrown weapon like Tamilin can? (I'm working on a online Kincaid guide). |

John Robinson - only Tami has the "throw at adjacent enemy" advantage. Hmmm... Can you smell a wishlist item coming? It seems like it forces him to choose between duel wielding blades or using a throwing knife with a blade. I'm thinking a thrown knife is a thrown knife and should have consistent range. As a front line fighter he is more likely than Tamilin to be flanked and in later levels completely surrounded. This keeps him from doing his one/two punch with darting steel followed by a blade melee attack. Kincaid's Darting Steel has no AOE capability. He was the first character to throw a blade shouldn't he benefit from AOE? Worth Considering? |

John Robinson - I'll take a look, but the circumstances are pretty different. Tamilin has no melee attack, so she must be able to throw daggers else she could be cornered unfairly.

Having up to 7 cursing attacks at even 3 range is powerful with Kincaid too - DS combined with FU takes a huge acc. burden off the whole team. You either aim for the back row with DS or melee your way free. He does have AoE melee - not a ranged specialist like Tam... If Vincent got TKs I wouldn't mind at all... Kjartan is the only one getting cornered briefly in any game I've played. Usually his teammates have him free on our turn at bat again. He's even more the range and AoE specialist than Tam for sure - zero empowered 1 range - maybe he should have an out :-b. |
