jknut android is lousy at managing memory and far as I know on most versions hitting home button just leaves apps idling in background. Think maybe I'm just paranoid but Google and Apple both seem intent on playing big brother and constantly tracking and managing your life while telling you how much better things are this way. A few months ago I lost a bunch of photos on my old phone. Why? Because the auto backup feature had gotten changed and so a bunch of things got uploaded to the "cloud". Problem then was that telling Google to delete the photos from cloud also somehow instructed it to delete them from my phone. Their "convenience" features just give them an excuse to track everything you do on your phone. Look at the permissions most apps require and then ask yourself what reason is there for a lot of them.

Heh, everything we have with an "i" has a problem moving stuff to the back and not really closing it. My one Android tablet is actually used for a specific job so I'm not sure if my one game is left running or in a quick load state. The Kindles, you close it or hit the back button. It shuts down the app.

This one is the best one available on Father's Day 2015 and it still closes everything except what I keep running (weatherbug). Cannot speak for anything past that.
