What is the pirate rumor used for? If hunting enemy pirates is your way of contributing to a Solar War, it might just boost your rep. Cory Trese, they don't count towards the Duel of Assassins do they? |

Is it just a ... higher concentration of pirates or merchants in that sector? I assume I go there and patrol. I'm a typically a pirate myself so really nothing is off limits unless I designate it.

It is a higher concentration of ships, more Weapons on board and slightly more hostile AI. It is a type of Fleet rumor, like Merchants with Valuables or Solar War.
