The wording on this is rather confusing. I have no idea what is expected. I need to hold two wanted flags for a 25 years? Or just have them by 82.whatever?
Also, I try to pick up most of my contracts from palaces because it seems spice halls and independents will have me signing on with God knows who. I mean, is it intentional that I don't know who I'm working for? I've caught on a little bit to the fact that there's some politics and subterfuge going on behind the scenes in normal palace contracts but short of accepting the contract it doesn't seem possible to know who I would be working for unless I pick up a contract at a faction palace.
Lastly is there a way to snuff planet toasts? Nothing interferes with game play more than these things.

Cory will have to comment on the wording for Dark Nemesis, or another veteran can answer.
On the toasts, check out the event log for the most recent alerts.

I mean, on the toasts, specifically the planet toasts, that they interfere with game play and I want to turn them off. Just the planet notifications. Having them pop up means I can't stop moving sometimes.
I have a workaround. Autorotate stops the ship so I just do that. I call it the emergency brake.

I'I'm not sure how, technically speaking but I got it.
Now I'm wondering about the loot achievements. I know I've taken cargo from enough ships. I've 67 kills and know I've looted well over half but almost never pressed the "take all" button because I usually don't care for anything but water artifacts weapons electronics and records. Maybe luxrats (is that a thing? Tell me that's a thing).
Edit - never mind I found the loot stat. I just don't have enough.

Just press the pause button while moving. If you have some type of issue with Android, where your theme or ROM is interfering with Android notifications (because those notifications are NOT part of Star Traders) you can disable them in the Star Traders Options menu. That basically means that the game won't ask your phone to display the notifications. You can still see the information in the Event log. I can try to answer the other questions but first I want to focus on the confusion you have about how toasts work!@

Well, it depends on the length of the toast. In turn, the length of the planet name. If it's long enough and it usually is, the toast covers the pause button so when you tap it, it doesn't press the pause button but makes the toast disappear instead.
And if the planets are dense enough, you can't tap fast enough to get to the bottom of the stack and hit the pause button.

According to the Android OS specification (and the source code) the toasts don't intercept or interfere with touches. It sounds like maybe there is some confusion (you're not seeing the button receive the touch) or the maker of your device has patched Android for some reason to change the Google specified behavior. Either way, I'm interested in looking into it. Thanks! PS: If you device really does have some bugs with Toast, I'm sorry for that. We've had this issue before with one specific Motorola device and there is an Option in Star Traders to "Turn off all Toasts" for devices with bugs like that. Thanks!!!

I wouldn't be surprised. I hate my manufacturer from experience. They hack the OS to pieces to fit their own scheme and then never issue updates.
I have a Samsung Verizon Note 4. Touching the screen anywhere while a toast is up discards the toast and does nothing else.
Informing me of the event log was helpful because I miss a lot of toasts. I guess I'm stuck with the "emergency brake" method (also works to swipe down the system bar).
Killing ALL toasts is less than desireable. It also doesn't kill all toasts. I still get stuff when I'm in the Urban menus. Such as "The captain notices that <insert rumor-event here>" and officer toasts (like the political officer informing me of a trade embargo or contract deception).

Correct -- we base the behavior of the options on player feedback. Thousands and thousands of e-mail conversations and tens of thousands of forum threads. With so many players, we get a lot of strong opinions and do our best to blend what the majority of people want with what the OS can support.
Sounds like Samsung has modified the OS and damaged the way Android is supposed to work for the Note 4. I can look to see if there is a work around or patch you can apply to the device.
I got so sick of Samsung OS I mostly just flash official Android ROM back onto those devices so they're more usable. I actually get a 10-20% FPS increase on the home screen just by removing the Samsung OS.

I'm probably just used to them after years of use but I've never had any real problems with my Samsung's in fact when I got my Galaxy S6 last month I actually turned down a "deal" on another brand phone because I knew the Samsung would perform the way I expected and not give me issues. My only complaint and this goes for pretty much any brand phone/tablet you get now is all the factory-installed bloat ware. Just give me a clean interface and let me pick my own apps please.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Note 4 run completly different builds of Android. The Galaxy line is much less buggy, in my experience. From our support rotation, I can tell you that the Note 5 is way worse than the Note 4 which is itself much worse than the Note 3. Every time they get their hands on a new Google Android build, they add more bugs. However, this is not entirely Samsung's fault, Google is adding bugs to Android at a geometric rate. The latest Android OSS had something like 11,000 unfixed issues in it! And not little issues either ... stuff like "Hardware Assisted Sound Playback Does not Work" and "Accelerated 2D Graphics Are Broken"

Get package disabler pro. Specifically for Samsung phone that can't/doesn't want to be rooted or have the bootloader unlocked.

Thanks for the suggestion but my point was that if things were done properly you wouldn't need to root a phone. They'd arrive from factory with basic OS and whatever additional interface programming needed by your phone company for operation and that would be it. I'm a fan of the NFL but I really don't need the official NFL APP hardcoded on my phone. I don't use Facebook and never will so likewise don't need it embedded. Don't have American Express but I got an app for it. Don't follow American stock exchange let alone the European and Tokyo ones. List goes on of all the Apps that are hardcoded in with me being forced to either live with them or void my warranties and extra coverage I'm paying for.

Yeah, they get too much money from those guys to turn down the hardcoding deals. You also gotta think that that subsidizes part of the cost of the phone as well.
