 As the new year arrives, we are proud to share our newest Patreon wallpaper -- featuring Star Traders 2 ships. Posted on Patreon, but I'll post it here too! I love that blue ship. It just looks so utilitarian to me. I know it has a turret on the top, but it still looks as if it could be a merchant plying the space lanes.

Millennium Falcon was a merchant and had turrets  Armed merchant ships will always be needed whenever there is high threat of piracy/enemy ships.p |

I gotta say, that looks fucking amazing! If that is what all the ship hulls in ST2 will look like, then that just makes me all the more excited for the Alpha!
Any hints on a general timeframe for the start of the Alpha? No ETAs, just what you guys are planning on doing.

What I can say is sometime this year  The ST2 alpha is probably going to be different from previous alphas. We will start with some very small components (character creation) and as for focused feedback on those systems. |
