There are many other ways today to get v-chips.
Encounters are still beta.
If you play a hacker get 2 body guards and Confront all. I have 30+ Contacts with most characters by the time they're mature (if they live that long lol.)
It's all about taking advantage of the new features =)

Nope -- Data Hounds and ways to get v-chips will remain scarce. There will be additional ways to USE pay data (to extract tips, jobs, plans, pass codes, secret files, maps) but selling it will always require a network. As we go building more storyline, ladders, connectors and so forth all aspects of the game (fences and v-chips included) will continue to expand but the ratio will ensure they remain a valued resource. Nice. Very nice. I would then like to add to the list of requests: a loyalty factor perhaps based on your Rep or, at least be influenced by Rep. Maybe eventually even affected by the number of times you work with them [ and help keep them alive] (obviously)! :-) But I again thank both you and Andrew for allowing us to be heard and in turn help possibly provide innovative ideas into fruition. I like ST and TA, but my heart, is CK because of theme perhaps. it's always been a personal fave. You are both incredibly talented, multi-tasking beasts. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm in for the long haul. This has been a very uniquely awesome experience. Now, if you excuse me; I have a story to add another chapter too. Someone is begging to move on...

The current CK experience is just the tip of the ice berg.
I have said so many times that I was limited by the ST saved game format ... when we build the CK one we really made sure that it had room to grow.

Well I will gladly assist and provide whatever information or especially creative energies I can, I have been thinking of also resurrecting the NP thread and adding more character dossiers.

each region in CK has a location you go when you die.
right now they all point back to region 32 Doctor Dave.
After the next release they are all custom -- so if you die in Yakuza territory they dump you by the docks.
as we go the corporate areas will get worse -- they'll dump your body and gear outside of NBZ and you'll have to work to get back in

yeah -- one idea we had there was the this type of "Crashing out" could result in rest -- or it could result in an encounter. depending on the security rating, security type and patrol level of the region in question.

spankey Lol,that's the funny part of that. The not so funny part is when Earl says *Well lookie here I jes found me a chainsword n a big@$$ handgun!* When I wake up and get wind of that discovery there will be a sharp drop in the homeless of NBZ....or is that also a funny part?.....my poor knuckels.
