Cory Trese Basically are you using curse/sword vincent + spell cast Kyera + melee selen and phalanx vraes? Or are you doing something different with the same characters?

I find he does very well early game, but he needs MP more than almost any other character. As a few others have said +MP is sooo critical otherwise you can't use him the way you will want to without big increase to risk level. I agree 100%. Cory Trese and fallen created this wonderful character, ignore this advice at your peril. What a great thread such concise, concentrated info. Any build you can imagine using Vincent needs his Charged Speed Talent which not only raises MP but Dodge as well. C-Speed(2) gets you +2 MP and +2 Dodge. C-Speed(4) " " +3 MP and +3 Dodge C-Speed(10) " " +6 MP and +7 Dodge, +24 Lightning resist. His attack damage spells all have a range of 4. He has got to get in close to use his spells and his sword. If he is using Curse Attacks Range 6. He still needs the extra MP to get within range of back rank archers and spell casters, shut them down, and then get out of range again. I often build with C-Speed(2) and if I find a +1 MP item, he gets that too. You can also purchase +1 MP mage armor in Brunehold. (I regularly do so during Boost-in games). In short he can survive without a huge number of HP or armor. Dodge and Speed keep him alive. Slow him down and you get him killed.

Curses soften up for Ferocity, Sacrifice keeps Vincent and Vraes off the SP gear and Thundering Blades gets maximum impact because Vincent and Selen both use 1AP blades.

Kyera also provides Ward Shield, which benefits the melee focus of the group very much. Kyera never attacks, always buffing, healing and recharging.

Does Selen use bows here as well, or two 1AP Blades? I'm crazy interested in this thread, as I have never been able to use a sword Vincent. He just never seems quite as effective as just going straight to LS 10.
Also, do you ever use EotS with him in the late game to try and watch him just electric chair something with a massive crit?

I never use a bow with Selen, myself. I have tested it and stuff, but when I'm building groups I don't use it. I use EotS definitely. LS 10 is good, but costs a lot of SP -- with a 1AP Blade and 3-4MP he gets 7 attacks per full turn. I tend to build him with maximum elemental damage gear, like Selen, so they get the most out of any debuffs their targets have.

I think I'm going to steal your group idea here. I'm just going to tweak it a bit. I like the FEROCITY Vraes and full support Kyera, that's always going to be one of the games best synergies. -Vincent goes TB/Charged/Frigid- only one point into FF -Selen goes switch hitter, my go-to way to play her highness. PS 5 and PB set up mobs and give the group a way to cripple enemies from afar. By using PS here, Vinnie can keep boosting his most important talents and let AP cursing take a backseat to Kyera and Selen. Wish me luck

Curses soften up for Ferocity, Sacrifice keeps Vincent and Vraes off the SP gear... I can quit that gear any time I want ... come on... just one more hit, baby - I just need one, just enough to keep me going... :-p

Cory Trese are you playing on Nightmare? If so what weapon and how is accuracy treating you? That game is on Brutal, just using a high Parry 1AP dagger. Accuracy is poor without Dodge debuffs.

ah, different builds. Curse/Sword Vincent, Melee Selen, AoE Heal and Sacrifice Kyera, Stone Skin and Ferocity Vraes Trying this build out now on Hard. So much fun in Red Hill. Just about to hit lvl 18 with everyone after E1 and can't wait for Elemental Sundering on Vince. I'm plowing through Krete right now and bumping into some issues with their crazy range, but everyone's decently strong and the spread out damage is all covered by Kyera AoE heal. Still haven't been able to take Vince fully off that SP gear... just one more hit.
