Sight in diagonals is lower then in other directions. You can see it well in the picture linked below, the 2 squares pointed to by arrows could really be made visible by normal sight. Those squares are 3 squares away in all diagonals. Considering that forward sight is 6 squares it's really weird that diagonal sight is 2 squares. imgur.com/Vb1ZTYp
