Since the latest round of Improved Invasion Messages (which I really like, BTW ) I've been noticing that sometimes when I launch " Invade" attacks, the game reports "Scouting" results. At first I assumed that I was just getting mixed-up, but now after paying careful attention through a half dozen purges, I'm certain: Many times when I order Transports to Invade, they report Scouting results (e.g. Xeno colony lost 2 Population during Scouting) in the TURN EVENTS screen. This becomes really obvious on the turns when I instruct all eight Transports to Invade, which is something I do in the second turn of almost every Purge (after successfully Scouting the Xeno defenses during the first turn). Here's a composited screenshot from the Purge of Sharnisac in my current game on The Garden map. I had definitely ordered all 8 Transports to Invade. And here's another one from The Purge of Blabonerth a few turns later. Same deal; all 8 ships were ordered to Invade. I'm not certain if this is just a problem with the Invasion Message system (reports Scouting when the Transport actually Invaded) or if Transports are actually going rogue (executing a Scout when told to Invade). If it's the latter, then rather than being bug in the new messages, it may be an old problem that the new messages simply expose.

Thank you Elwood!I was just looking for a place to report the same thing! I also thought I was being clumsy at first. Looks like we follow similar invasion patterns. ^_^
