Downloading paydata?!

I have downloaded a drek load of paydata. The only things is it seems to disappear to cyberspace cuz I have nothing to sell and cant figure where it has gone. Not in inentory or on computer..... ANYONE?!! Ill take a look at the new game in a fwdays soon as I find this paydata.

harry - can you see any paydata in your faction page?

harry - then you have downloaded it! That's the right place to check. Next you need to find a Contact (such as a data hound) who is willing to purchase paydata from you. Because of its sensitive nature, you can only sell it across the wire in this way.

I sold tons that I have pulled off the bodies of my foes. When I contact the contacts that prchased data about that faction, nothing. Ill try again.

Is there a diffeewnt way to sell data that you hack rather than find on a body?

harry - yes, its the same type of paydata and you can sell it through the same means. Each contact only is interested in a single type of paydata, so you need to meet the right people to be able to push a lot of data around.

I'm also having a problem with downloading paydata, but I'm not sure if it is the same issue described or not... I'm trying to collect data on Fennian to sell to Three Finger Jake (Blue Ox). I go in to the matrix, connect to & hack the Fennian node (I pulled the node map off another post -- thx btw to the person that posted it), and download paydata from the Fennian node. Everything appears to be successful, but I never see "MP of Paydata files" increase from zero in the Politics screen. Am I doing something wrong?

tx340 -- doesn't sound like your doing anything wrong. maybe the pay data is not generating a positive number of MP. What is your hacking / difficulty / character class and which Matrix Host?

I bet I can figure it out and fix it if you are patient with me =)

@cory Thanks for the response! Below is what I'm running:

Hacking = 5 [9] (I've tried it with lower stats, but got the same effect)
Difficulty = Normal
Class = Gunslinger

Oh, and with regard to matrix host, I've tried several source nodes with the same results. However, the target node is always the same -- the sole Fennian node at 0.0.0.44.

By the way, if this is in the future, shouldn't we be using IPv6? ;-)

@cory Just wanted to see if you ever figured out anything with the Fennian issue... I tested after the most recent update, and it looks like the issue still exists.

I have recently had pretty much the same issue on the old water front. Download drekloads of paydata yet no positive effects on positive stolen paydata.

Hack level: 11
Difficulty : easy
Class: gunslinger

Ok im actually having no effects on stolen paydata. I have moved to several locations downloaded a cargo freighter loadfull of paydata data and nothing. I prettymuch just download whatever I comes across, IS THAT MAYBE A PROBLEM....ok, ok I admit im a paydata junkie.... I dont care what I dowload or who I sell it to. I just have need to steal paydata. I have a problem and probably need help.......
