So, this isn't really a shanty, more of a(n original and very VERY crude) poem, but my crew still likes to sing it on occasion. Rather annoyingly I might add...
Admiral Dumont was his name,
Born and raised in old Altak.
His father thought he was a shame,
Oh, so he never turned back.
He’s seen more than I or you,
So let us tell you a tale of the coup.
He was sad, depressed, and lonely, sir,
Sitting in a bar twittling his blade.
Then fate’s good hand did occur,
When he met a women by the name of Jade.
These two were as close as close can be,
For their love was something to behold.
Both knew this with great glee,
Oh, how often we were told!
But then Jade left without a word,
We were all worried, yes we were.
The admiral believed this to be absurd,
But his crew were all unsure.
Then she returned with several ships in tow,
Because she had been always been a Javat spy.
The Admiral was furious, my oh my, did it show,
A blind rage which brought a tear to my eye.
What a wreckage we left behind,
As Dumont challenged Jade to a fight.
Jade didn’t brawl, though, oh no, she declined,
The admirals slaughter did frighten us that night.
Reinhold wept for hours on end,
And none of us dared bother him.
He mourned for the death of his greatest friend,
His mood would forever be grim.
This is the admiral's tale of woe,
We thought you’d like to know.
