I just got out of Ember, so I was able to transcribe some of the text as the heroes escaped.
Fyona says: "Somehow, Nikolai has guided us here. I FOLLOWED his call and we've come to a safe place again."
Later Kincaid says: "We will see Nikolai again."
Yet, later when we eventually get to Gholla Outlook we will report Nikolai's death to his father.
The first time I saw Nikolai's death mentioned in these boards I was shocked and depressed. Why are we so certain that Nikolai died when we never encounter his body. He was leading us to the sanctuary, so when we were resting in the sanctuary, we should have been between Nikolai and Kri, the master Seer Lord. I always assumed that Nikolai was hiding somewhere on the route to the Koda and Braeys base camps, and that eventually he would be able to follow us to safety as we cleared the path of enemies.
Did I miss a reference to Wraith Nikolai on the fight out of the Deadening Field?
