I've played a lot, but that was a while ago. So I can't remember if different factions or not. Can you get more than one type of runner from the same faction, and which type is available from which ones? I want a hacker, but wasn't sure if any type could hack as well. I just got an agent ex and gunslinger. Is that a good combo?

You can get Runners from any Persona Connector, even multiple from the same faction. I'd base the combos around what your Knight does -- does he need two gunners back him or her up? If you want to build a good Hacker, try getting at least an AgentEx or a straight up Hacker runner. Or make your Knight a hacker.

I found a hacker at the fennian persona connector. So I now have a hunder main character, my hund, hacker, and agentex. My question is if the sandbox has any completed storylines? I played pretty heavy a couple years ago. I had pretty much every piece top hardware and cyberware. I also had all my runners maxed nearly. When I was playing there wasn't a hunder character. So a lot has changed. I started over bc I can't figure out how to move my saved data. I saw info you had posted on that, and might work on that eventually. I just am curious if there's stuff out there I haven't seen, and if there is some type of sense of completion in the sandbox. I always really enjoy playing either way. You guys have created a great game.

@nick111 - other than Made, Not Born storyline, we haven't added any other storylines to the game.
I'm glad you came back to CK and that you're enjoying it again! The Hunder is a fun change to experiment with for sure!

Is there any plans to add storylines that could connect to one of several different endings in the sandbox? Also I assumed, " made not born", was probably finished, but are not able to play as the hunder character?

Sry one more question, but I'm also wondering if all the factions' ladders lead somewhere. I'd rather not work on a faction if it's not available yet. Thanks a lot for your time.

Any ladder connector you encounter in the game is finished - meaning that they have a top end reward available. Not every faction has a ladder. At this time, we aren't focusing on adding more story elements to the game, but are look toward CK2 for that.

So is ck simply just a sandbox? I've always really liked the playstyle of the game. Simple in a way, but pretty much everything I'm looking for in a game. I'd always hoped eventually that main storyline with many side story lines would be implemented. What is ck2 going to be like? Will it be similar, but with a set storyline? Maybe multiple endings, bosses, etc..? I really hope so. I feel that there's so much that you could do with the world you've created.

We added ladders and storylines later, as additional fun things to do, within the larger sandbox. I don't have a lot of details to share about CK2 (it's a dream at this point), but it would certainly have storylines as a more featured part of its arc.

It does seem that one of the things that makes CK so popular with our fans is the sandbox experience. The people who really LOVE the game, love the sandbox part. What does that mean for CK2? Who knows

Oh I really love the sandbox type play. I tend to like open-world type of gameplay. Especially, with this type of genre. I just don't understand I guess, why not take what you've already made , and build more into it? With all the different factions it seems you could make one amazing story. With different endings depending on the factions you choose to work with, and long extensive missions. I'm not going to act like I know how you would do this, but it's just something I'd really like to see.
I'm still playing anyway. I've really enjoyed the game since I bought it years ago, and loved seeing how far it's come. I plan to make it to the end of each faction ladder. Why make a ck2 though when you've done so much with ck1? Wouldn't it be easier to add more depth into it than make a whole new game? Like I said I know little of the process, just curious.

@nick111 - We'd make a CK2 because the bones of CK1 are almost 6 years old and Android-only. The capabilities of that engine are something like 4% of what our current game engine is capable of doing. We'd make CK2 so we could re-imagine, improve, expand, beautify, and shoot for the sky again. Starting with CK1 as the foundation would be massively limiting on the gameplay experience we could achieve. If you haven't played our recent games, I highly recommend Templar Battleforce and Heroes of Steel to give some context to the conversation.
