ST notification speed

Hi fallen, Cory Trese. I jumped back into ST after quite a few months playing other things. I must say I like the interface and the speed of travel of my ship across the quadrant. But at the same time, the notifications are flashing on the screen so fast that I cannot read them. Is there a way to slow them down so I can read them?

Yes, turn on Longer Notifications in the Options Menu or use the Event Log to view previous notifications.
