The combat preamble will have more options than ST RPG, certainly.

I'm not sure if this has been talked about already, but when encountering ships in ST2 will there be a chance that the other ship will be already damaged? Will the odds and severity of other ship's starting damaged in an encounter be influenced by politics like solar war, etc.?

fallen, Cory Trese How about a chance of encountering derilect ships / ghost ships...with a weak signal and damaged hull. Do you dare investigate?... PA: "All red shirts report to the hanger bay for boarding duty"

Space will have various types of risks and events that you'll be able to make choices about.

This doesn't have to do with conflicts, but since this is the hot ST2 thread at the moment, I just wanted to go out on a limb and propose U2's " Every Breaking Wave" as the official unofficial theme song of ST2. I mean ST2-U2 why not? ...actually the video doesn't help make the connection, but if you listen to the lyrics I think it becomes clear.

Haha and even if we wanted to get rid of it from our iPhones ... it seems to be a permanent addition

If you disable auto-syncing of music and then delete it *should* stay removed
