Hi new to forums and new to HoS.
Hi guys hope all is well with you guys. My question on SP items is simply does it drain sp from mobs and give it to you or does it take it away from you when equipped and subtract it from your SP pool I'm not sure ? Sorry if this has been posted already but I did a search and didn't find any thing helpful on this matter. Thanks in advance and have a great day guys!

Welcome to the forum!
From what I know, think of it as more of a damage to SP conversion. If you do 100 damage with 10% SP drain, you will gain 10 SP back AFTER you spend the SP on the talent used.
Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any other questions you have!

It generates SP for the character based on the damage you do. So with 10% SP drain and a hit of 60 you would gain 6 SP. I have never personally run into a limit on the sp you can drain, so while thematically it might be draining SP from the mobs I am pretty sure they don't have SP and that you can drain as much SP as you want from any monster in the game (this might be different than you are used to where in other games spell caster monsters would be better to drain because it shuts down their spell casting and they have a larger pool to drain. As far as I know, in this game any monster will give you SP back and the only factor to consider is who you can hit the hardest for the best SP returns).

Thank you guys for clearing that up for me.
If its one thing I noticed about these forums is how very knowledgeable and kind everyone is ! Glad to be here and learn from the experts. What I thought was a very simplistic game like an old Zelda game turned out to be so much more what a pleasant surprise and for only 10 $ what a value. I got more value from this game than X-Com 2 (which I love and is a great game!) which I bought for 84$ for the whole package and was done with that game in like 25 hours.
