I just want to say this webcomic has made me want to support you guys on Patreon so I can vote in it, but present circumstances have rendered it inconvenient to do so. Perhaps in a few months...

I'm very glad to hear that! I am really happy with the progress the comic has made recently, I kind of turned a corner at the one-year mark. Especially providing a choice with every new page has been a lot of fun. I hope you can join when circumstances iron themselves out. The minimum pledge for voting rights is $2/month. |

Okay then. Somebody is unhappy enough that they are sending bounty hunters after the crew, to try to recover the cube. If this is a revenge thing, and the crew doesn't know this yet, then this problem is not going to let up. If this is just 'business' then once the transfer is made, there is no need to waste money on bounty hunters; things will go back to their previous level of safety, with (of course) the added danger of one pissed off smuggler contract provider, whom you just double-crossed. (Which presumably was a risk you were willing to take). So deliver the accursed thing as quickly as you can before the next bounty hunter is hired and sent after you. Waiting until later only makes the odds worse, as more things can be deployed against you.

grävling - great line of reasoning! The longer they hold on to the data cube, the more hunters that will be after them. While the smuggler Voddax is a friend, he isn't particularly cruel or dangerous -- just a good smuggler connection. They were willing to cross him for the payday and the chance to maybe make it right for lost friends.
