PC Normal Difficulty: On Tunnel Complex
I have used a Soldier Templar to throw a Concuss Grenade 2 grenade at two different Goliaths on this map (on separate occasions)... nothing happened. No damage, no explosion. Maybe I missed, but this happened twice and I did not receive any feedback from the game so I suspect it is not working as intended.

I've taken a note to see if we can improve the UI, but in the case that you get 100% misses on the attack, the grenade is considered a dud and does not explode.

Should throwing the grenade have displayed a "0", though, when it missed?
When firing a gun, I think the game displays a "0" damage on a miss? It might be a good idea for a miss on a grenade to communicate the same information?

No, it does not display "0" when you miss. It displays "0" when all of the damage is soaked.
Miss has a special animation and lack of hit sound effect, but we can work on improving this.

Thank you for educating me about that distinction! That is helpful to know!

-I play with sound off, so I did not notice the sound cue. oops.
-I did not notice a special animation in this circumstance...but then again, I usually play really far zoomed out, so I barely see any of the animations... I admire the detail when I zoom in, but playing far zoomed out is my preference...I only occasionally zoom in.
-Maybe a miss could have a display of "0" like when damage is soaked? Or, if you want to distinguish between the two situations (which would be a helpful distinction), it could display the word "Miss" (although, you may consider that as breaking immersion).
-To act as a reality check on me... for those more able to recall how other games handle the situation- how does XCom or Xenonauts, or Halfway, or other squad-based concept games handle a miss? What is the "gold" standard for communication of this type of information in the genre?

Vae Victus - to be clear, there are three types of display: - An attack is made and no text appears on screen. This indicates a Miss. - An attack is made and a -0 appears on screen. This indicates a Hit, but all Damage was soaked. But you did hit. - Attack is made and -Xp (where p is optional) appears on screen. This indicates a Hit with Damage above soak. These three distinctions are in place so that you can tell the result of an attack without looking at the animation at any zoom level. I hope that helps!
