Hi my luxary rations dont get consumed when I have larger crews maybe they dont get used because I need more per larger crew.
I was playing on demanding as a customized zealot and I had found a alien and slaughtered him bla bla got loats of salvage cash and designed a ship with 100 crew and we were riding around when we ran out of water-fuel and my lux rations went from 5 to 2 and they didn't use the other 2 they just got unhappy and mutinied me to death.
is this a bug or due to crew size did they need more to eat?

2 isn't enough for that ship's consumption rate, so it isn't used.
Moving from Bugs -> Tips because this is an intentional rule, not a bug.

I assumed they just stayed there until a wf crisis, as that's when I'd see them vanish |

Agreed. I've been surprised many times during my adventures in the quadrant (*Kind of why I love ST). Never get surprised by the flimsy construction of Javat/Steel Song ships, though. Paper thin, they are. Always surprised by Cadars strength. Op doesn't begin to describe them.
