PC Normal Difficulty Prime: Starport Vault
ONE: I was at the north-east tact point; I purchased Ranking Grenadiers Resupply. I was six squares away counting from edge of the the tact point and it gave me the error that I could not resupply unless I am within six squares from the tact point. -I am counting from the closest edge (I was orthogonal rather than diagonal- e.g. straight across).
Resupply worked at 5 squares away-six if you count one square of the tact point itself... Intuitively, I think more people would count the squares beyond the tact point (e.g. not counting the tact point square itself--alternatively you could count from the tact point's center and make that obvious [which would add an additional square, but I think counting from the tact point's side is the better solution]).
TWO: A related wishlist idea: Can the Ranking Grenadier's Resupply and other resupplies that need to be deployed near to a tact point have their deploy distance indicated on the ORDANANCE popup menu under their blue descriptor (e.g. "Deploy up to 6 distance from Tact Point")? (This could allow for later a tact point upgrade--to allow ordnance deploy over larger distances--e.g. you could nerf the average deploy distance by 1 default and create a new tact point upgrade to increase the distance by 2-3 over normal).

For point one, I think this is just an issue of ppl counting tiles differently. We can look at player feedback and see if there is something we can do here to improve.
For point two, a range increasing TP upgrade is a very interesting idea. I'll take a note to look into this concept and see if the game engine would support it.

Thank you!
Re: point one-- Agreed. That is a great way to handle the situation as a reality check on me.

I've had issue in past judging distance from tac point for ordinance etc. Like Vae Victus I was counting squares starting with first one NOT covered by the TP graphic and wasn't until I asked on here that I found out where your counting from. Think most players probably assume that the entire graphic is the tac point but during that previous conversation I was told the graphic isn't actually the TP as far as game was concerned but instead the center point of it was the actual TP. Note this also effects the Engineers as listed range for their attacking a TP means they need to be closer than a player expects. With most enemies or things you want to attack/interact with they only occupy 1 square so figuring out range is fairly simple. The graphic for TP covering more squares makes determining actual range a bit different until players learn the game.
