So on Cory's SOLEMN UNBREAKABLE PROMISE that we'll have "cheat codes" to unlock the various upgrades any day now (right Cory?), I've resumed play with my level 78 character in year 411.20AE on Normal difficulty. I did alot of Exploring to get rich in my character's younger days, and sure enough, most of the convenient planets are tapped out. I still follow rumors, though, and occasionally get lucky. More occasionally, I kill off my whole crew (and I'm always surprised morale stays as high as it does). Sometimes, one lucky Explore results in *WAY* more than my ship can carry. Is there some way to cache my leftovers? Can you ADD a way to do this? As things stand, the flora and fauna always take everything I can't haul off... As always, thanks for everything... and I sure would love to get those codes for the fancy upgrades I can't otherwise earn at Normal difficulty...

Is there some way to cache my leftovers? Can you ADD a way to do this? As far as I know, last time someone asked about this the answer was that it is feature which should give edge to the explorers with ships having big cargo space and it is intentional.

Correct, this behavior is very core to the game's balance and even pricing of the cost of 1 unit of Cargo on the ship design.
I have experimented with it set both ways and it rapidly becomes unbalanced if Exploration results are automatically added to the cache.
There is a distant possibility of a third solution but that has to come after the next evolution of player established zones (bases.) Right now, it must remain in balance =)
