Anyone know where it is and/or how to find it? So far I've seen a rumor about a "blue juror", but I have yet to find any clues to help locate the home planet. I don't know of it's always the same planet or is randomly selected on game start, nor do I know what type of planet it is (urban, wilderness, neither). Is it enough to just fly over it? Patrol? Land? Explore? Who knows!
I'm in the midst of my first game (on this device). Because I'm going for specific rewards, I don't have time to systematically search every planet (nor do I have explorer skill, if that's necessary for finding the homeworld). Any help would be appreciated; it'd be nice to add the homeworld award to the list of others for this playthrough before I go out in a blaze of glory.

1- it is always the same 2- all you need to do is land on it 3- checking every planet is actually a pretty fast way depending on where you start 4- welcome to the forum

The home planet is not signposted as such, but once you go to it, you should hopefully get a toast message, there will be a ship log update, and of course, checking in the hall of records will give you the award. I don't want to give away the home planet location (although if you PM me after days of frustration, I'll share it with you), but I can say that your father raised you on a fringe planet - not in the core of the quadrant. Further, your home planet is available in both the free and elite versions of the map - which effectively cuts your search down to 1/4 of the full Elite map size Good luck - and hope you find it.

Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to get the unlock. The award text is ambiguous. Does it need to be done on impossible difficulty? Does it require a landing?

you need to go into the urban zone of the planet in question. The planet has both urban and wilderness zones - and I haven't tried just going to the wilderness. Hey wait ... I'll just go check and see what happens ...

Hey violet... I checked and you have to go to the urban zone. I tried going to wilderness zone, then to a different planet, but the award wasn't given. I went back into the urban zone and checked the hall of records and blam, i got the toast: "Captain Glurk the Stoopid received this award for locating and visiting the Captain's original homeworld. Unlock Starting Ship Eques Tenebris on Difficulty Impossible" Oh ... two things: 1. Although you can get to the planet on both Free and Elite, it is an Elite-only award. 2. In order to get the ship unlock, you need to visit the planet on Impossible Difficulty It's really an award that is set up for those who are ultra-inquisitive. The starting ship is: * Hull 11 * Armor 5 * Engine 13 * Sails 14 * Crew 35 * Cargo 40 * Guns 18 * Torps 4 So not a gun-bunny ship. Not really a boarder ship. Not much cargo space. Good guns and average torps.

I found it. It was in a place I had done half a dozen contracts in. Must have missed the toast. Curiously, I only got the award when I went to the Hall of Records in that city. Bug or intended? And I unlocked it on demanding: I didn't think the difficulty received was a bug; the texted says "unlocked on impossible", which seems to indicate receiving the award allows the ship to be used on impossible. However, there's also these: This is clearly a bug, as the unlock condition clearly specifies Hard difficulty, which is higher than Demanding. I don't remember this being an issue when I played long ago, sometime before the ship designer was introduced. Somewhere in version 4, maybe?

violet, you are able to achieve the award for your captain no matter what level you are playing on, but to unlock the reward, you have to do that award on or above the particular difficulty level. The award shows what you will achieve IF you play at that difficulty level. You can check by seeing what is available in the ship upgrades.

I was worried I'd somehow cheated my way to some of the awards.

violet for like five bucks you can unlock everything and then do the achievements, but already have all the goodies. A rarely acknowledged strategy. Muhahahahaha

It certainly seems like an impossible challenge to unlock every reward - and in fact, some are so frustrating that you want to pull your hair out, but they are all doable. What's even better is if you do invest the time to learn the game and its layers, you'll find that the rewards become easier and easier to unlock. I recently upgraded my phone, and have unlocked all but a small handful of awards/rewards. One captain unlocked the majority himself including the Independent Captain and Clan and Syndicate heroes. The hardest challenge was actually being NICE to Steel Song. They're back down to -49,160 reputation - where they belong!

Oh ohh .... WHEN you achieve the award (ie, go to the Hall of Records on this planet), please check your ship log (Status--> Ship --> ship log). There are two new entries specifically related to your discovery!!! I remember seeing the text when I looked at the strings 5 years ago, but never knew where it was used until discovering this award
